About the Project

The “Project for Strengthening the Business Collaboration of ICT Industry in Pakistan” is a transformative collaboration between the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). Approved by the Economic Affairs Division (EAD), this three-year pilot project aims to enhance Pakistan’s ICT exports to Japan by establishing a sustainable business collaboration framework.

By aligning the capabilities of Pakistan’s ICT industry with the needs of the Japanese market, the project seeks to unlock new opportunities, foster strategic partnerships, and contribute to the overall growth of Pakistan’s IT and IT-enabled services sector.

Key Objectives

By strengthening the operational capacity of PSEB and facilitating business matching between Pakistani ICT companies and Japanese businesses, this project aims to elevate the global presence of Pakistan’s ICT industry, particularly in the Japanese market

Business Matching Portal

  • A dedicated platform showcasing Pakistani ICT companies, enabling matchmaking with Japanese businesses.

Business Networking & Pilot Projects

Increased ICT Exports

  • The program is expected to strengthen trade ties with Japan, targeting an export growth of 15-20% in the Japanese ICT sector over three years.
  • 200+ Pakistani ICT companies are anticipated to gain access to the Japanese market through business matching and partnerships.


Improved Business Collaboration

  • Facilitation of joint ventures and collaborations between 30 Japanese companies and 50 Pakistani companies, fostering sustainable growth and shared innovation.

Skilled Workforce

  • Training and capacity-building initiatives will empower over 500 Pakistani professionals, equipping them with the skills and market knowledge needed to successfully engage with Japanese businesses.
