The Pakistan IT Industry Skills Development Initiative focuses on six transformative areas to enhance Pakistan’s IT ecosystem
Leadership and project management training aim to groom top industry leaders with global expertise in collaboration with renowned institutions globally and nationally.
The academia-industry bridge introduces new courses to strengthen ties between academic institutions and industry needs, adjunct faculty roles, and 4,400 training sessions for students and faculty.
Master trainers (ToT) create a sustainable network of 1,000 highly skilled trainers to scale skill-building efforts
Bootcamps and short courses target 6,000 individuals, upskilling them in emerging fields like AI, blockchain, and cybersecurity.
Specialized training programs designed for 1,000 professionals in the fields of BPO, LPO, and KPO aim to prepare individuals for diverse roles within the global outsourcing industry
The apprenticeship program bridges the gap between education and industry, equipping 8,000 participants with hands-on training in high-demand technologies such as cloud computing and AI
The program is anticipated to deliver significant outcomes by June 2027. Overall, the initiative aims to enhance the digital literacy and professional capacity of Pakistan’s youth, contributing to sustainable economic growth and global competitiveness.
Economically, the program is expected to boost IT exports, increase foreign exchange earnings, and attract substantial foreign direct investment (FDI).
